Crack Two of the Toughest 1.d4 Openings
with a 2-Birds 1-Stone Approach
The Grünfeld and King’s Indian Defense – two openings known for their positional aggression, stunning tactics, and misery they cause 1.d4 players. Now, you can turn that aggression on its head with Fighting the Grünfeld and King’s Indian!
Brought to you by 2-time Israeli Chess Champion GM Michael Roiz, this course gives you an elegantly integrated approach to dismantling the Grünfeld and KID.
After your usual 1.d4 – 2. c4, you’ll fight both openings with 3.h4! quickly jolting Black out of their comfort zone and into your turf.
But while many Grünfeld and KID players have probably seen 3.h4 already, you’ll introduce Black to a new kind of torture. You’ll use 3.h4 as a “high-class waiting move” to coax your opponent into showing their hand, and then change your strategy accordingly.
Sure, you’ll have plenty of kingside onslaughts where you break open the enemy castle, practically ensuring an imminent mating attack…

…but in many variations, you’ll completely squeeze Black with a space advantage both on the kingside, sucking all the play out of their position.

Black might even try to steer the game into a kind of Benko (Volga) Gambit or Benoni. But the course’s flexible approach allows you to either execute the strategies above or rapidly activate your pieces for play on any wing.

Thorough Coverage –
So That the King’s Indian and Grünfeld Are Never a Problem Again
The thorough but manageable 200+ variations in this course will give you a complete guide to fighting two of the most critical openings after 1.d4.
You’ll get:
♜ A Quickstarter Chapter showing you the basics, so you can start employing this approach in your own games right away
♜ 16 chapters on fighting the Grünfeld and KID – so you can deep dive into any variation you need
♜ 4 chapters on the Benko (Volga) Gambit and Benoni – in case Black tries to steer the game into this direction
♜1 chapter on 3rd move alternatives – so if Black really tries to break out of your home turf, you’ll claw them back in
Grünfeld and KID players are some of the most booked-up and knowledgeable players out there. This course is your Excalibur against them.

Even when one of my opponents didn’t follow theory, which often happens with beginners,

he gives you basic principles that just works 90% of the situations – it sounded silly to me at first, but then it became a daily prayer

Decent course. Compared to his other courses, this course is relatively simple and faster to learn. Probably the nature of Grunfeld opening itself could be a reason.

Some courses handled the opening principles nicely

I appreciate the effort gone into it. It’s helped me become better at my openings and I’m looking forward to what he has next in store. Cheers.
