Set The Sicilian Ablaze With
The Slow-Burning And Wickedly Effective 2.Nc3!
When Black counters your 1.e4 with 1…c5, an all-out attack plays right into their hands.
Not only are Sicilian players armed to the teeth for that kind of near-desperate aggression. Worse, their advantage is all but guaranteed when they reach the endgame.
Now…
Imagine their disappointment when you take away their endgame insurance, and instead of rushing in head first, you patiently turn up the pressure move after move.
If you love the idea, then let International Master Mykhailo Bilous show you how to…
Turn The Sicilian Defense On Its Head
As Early As Move Two!
FM Bilous was the 2016 Ukrainian Under-20 Champion. He’s a fearless competitor, who doesn’t mind squaring up against grandmasters rated 300 points above him.
If there’s one thing FM Bilous learned from his adventures, it’s that the Closed Variation with 2.Nc3 is one of the most unpleasant openings versus the Sicilian (especially below GM-level).
Here’s why:
For starters, the Closed Sicilian doesn’t give Black his usual trumps by avoiding d2-d4. But even better, you also get easy development starting with Nc3, g3, and Bg2 – no matter what Black does.
This flexible starting position gives you a wide array of high-pressure strategies, which set tough problems at every turn.
Here’s a small sample of what you’ll learn from The Patient Closed Sicilian:
🎯 “Win” an extra piece on demand by taking Black’s g7-bishop out of the game, and locking up their other bishop behind a cage of pawns.
🎯 Launch a dangerous kingside attack before move 10 by delaying castling and running Harry the h-pawn up the board.
🎯 Secure an unshakable positional advantage should Black put their pawns on c5, d6, and e5.
🎯 Sabotage the opponent’s dark squares and take firm control of d4 with an unusual but wickedly effective retreat.
🎯 Post up your mighty knights on c4 and e4 by improving over Short – Kasparov, 1990. (FM Bilous shows you exactly how.)
That’s just a sneak peek.
The course comes with 249 trainable variations and over 12 hours of video instruction. So you get a comprehensive coverage – minus the overwhelm.
Plus, thanks to the 13 Quickstarter variations and 8 model games, you can pick up the must-know strategies, and start playing the opening in just a few hours.

I’ve only reviewed all the black lines but I am liking the author’s approach of adding exercises after each chapter to make sure you are looking at the positions themselves rather than just routinely memorizing the lines without absorbing the content of his commentary.
