Description
You’ve taken his highly acclaimed Mastering Pawn Endings courses on Chessable, and now it’s time to put your knowledge to the test.
International Master Ahmad Alkhatib is back, and he’s on a mission to cement pawn endings into your brain forever.
We’ve all been there. You go into a match having studied up on all your endgames. You feel confident.
Then it appears.
You remember seeing an endgame like that somewhere, but ugh, what was the solution? And would it work here?
The clock is ticking. You go with your gut. But your opponent strikes back. He’s managed to outplay you. You could have had the full point, but it slipped through your fingers.
Don’t let this sad story happen to you again
With the Pawn Endgames Workbook, you’ll solidify your understanding of pawn endgames so that you can be confident whenever they show up on the board.
You’ll deepen your understanding of how to apply all the major concepts in pawn endings properly. You’ll work through each of the pawn endgame scenarios (king & pawn, minor piece & pawn, rook & pawn, etc.), plus master all those critical endgame concepts:
♟Restriction and fortresses
♟Opposition and distant opposition
♟Triangulation
♟Zugzwang
♟Réti’s idea
♟and more
Endgames are just one of those things in chess that need to be drilled. And the Pawn Endgames Workbook and Chessable’s MoveTrainer® are the perfect pair to do it.

he gives you basic principles that just works 90% of the situations – it sounded silly to me at first, but then it became a daily prayer

I’m still a fairly new adult learner and have looked at all the major courses and finally feel like I have an option that makes sense for my level and available time.

Even above beginner level, knowing the first ten moves is usually sufficient, and the variations in this course average nine moves.

keep repeating basic principles annoying number of times (sometimes say it with a beard then later repeat it without the beard 😁)
