Playing against 1.d4 and especially the Queen’s Gambit can sometimes feel like swimming against the tide.
Try as you might, White seems to always pull ahead in development, have more space in the center and get the easier game.
Now, imagine White’s surprise when you come out swinging before steering the game into a tactical minefield where you know where to walk and your opponent doesn’t.
Take control of the 1. d4 game with IM Sopiko Guramishvili’s tactical prowess and make Mikhail Tal proud with Lifetime Repertoires: Queen’s Gambit Accepted.

Learn from a world championship contender!
IM Sopiko Guramishvili is a two-time Women’s World Chess Championship contender, and one of the top 100 female players today.
Her nickname in chess circles is “Miss Tactics” – because, well, she’s a highly tactical player who tears up the board with sharp combinations. And, true to her style, she has developed a repertoire that is as sharp as it gets.
Sopiko is an excellent teacher and coach, well-known for her easy accessible streams and opening videos on Chess24. And today, she graces Chessable with her top-notch instruction.
Inside Lifetime Repertoires: Queen’s Gambit Accepted, she brings together her knack for teaching, tactical prowess, and professional-grade analysis to give you an aggressive reply to 1.d4.
After 1.d4 d5 2.c4, IM Sopiko recommends 2…dxc4, soon followed by the classic …c7-c5 pawn break to the enemy center.
Next, we tighten the rope that White has to walk by marching up our pawns.
Lastly, our hyper-active pieces threaten to overwhelm the opponent.
Take the pawn and run with it!
At the core of Lifetime Repertoires: Queen’s Gambit Accepted is a shocking exchange sacrifice, which defies 400 years of opening wisdom and puts White’s most challenging moves into question.
If the first player isn’t careful, you can have a winning attack in less than 20 moves!
And the best part: the sacrifice is perfectly sound.
You will be backed not only by my enthusiasm, but also by tons of verified high-end computer analysis, made accessible and explained throughout this course to club players and chess enthusiasts of all levels! – IM Sopiko Guramishvili
But that’s just one of the breakthroughs you will learn inside the course.
Here are more reasons to love Lifetime Repertoires: Queen’s Gambit Accepted:
👍 Over 400 trainable variations
👍 12 hours in high quality and in-depth video-sync instruction in Sopiko’s trademark friendly and accesible style
👍 a Quickstarter guide with 29 key variations to get you up and running in under 2 hours
👍 World Chess Championship level preparation. This is Sopiko’s actual secret Women’s World Championship preparation but updated to 2020 standards!
👍 super engine-powered novelties that punish White’s natural-looking moves
👍 10 model games to get a great understanding of the middlegame ideas
If you’re ready to take the leap from slowly playing for equality to confidently and aggressively playing for the WIN, then this repertoire is for you!

As a beginner it’s easy to get overwhelmed by big repertoires but this one has the perfect number of lines and yet,

The ideas taught in this course helped me defend against a brutal attack in my last tournament. I was able to secure the half-point once I defused the attack.

I am an expert rated chess player FIDE Rated 2306 who had the privilege to beta-test this wonderful course. I went through some of the chapters of this course namely,

Now that I don’t need to invest much energy in the opening phase, I can concentrate on improving my middle and endgame play.

he gives you basic principles that just works 90% of the situations – it sounded silly to me at first, but then it became a daily prayer

In two recent wins, my opponents failed to follow the golden rules, making it easy for me to win the games.

he would cover all possible silly reactions that could derail my well-thought opening, and how to deal with them

At this level this course covers a sweet spot.

Even above beginner level, knowing the first ten moves is usually sufficient, and the variations in this course average nine moves.

I think many of these reviewers forget what it was like to be a beginner, or a casual player.
Ryan (verified owner) –
For taking all the fun out of my chess games. I never thought anybody would be cruel enough to make winning so easy that chess has become boring.

I’ve only reviewed all the black lines but I am liking the author’s approach of adding exercises after each chapter to make sure you are looking at the positions themselves rather than just routinely memorizing the lines without absorbing the content of his commentary.

I would never recommend this book to anybody that I would consider a beginner, and maybe not even a “casual” player (depending on the definition).
Steven William (verified owner) –
keep repeating basic principles annoying number of times (sometimes say it with a beard then later repeat it without the beard 😁)

I’m still a fairly new adult learner and have looked at all the major courses and finally feel like I have an option that makes sense for my level and available time.

Also, this course is not aimed at advanced and master level therefore; it didn’t overwhelmed me with things that I don’t need to worry about at my level.
