When we talk about positional chess, the central role of pawn structures often comes to mind. Pawns are, after all, “the soul of chess”. But in order to gain a deeper understanding of positional play, we must also know how the pieces interact with those structures. In the Fundamental Piece Play course, we will establish the Fundamental Piece Play and talk about each piece individually, as well as the types of positions that work best for them and why.
