How To Instantly Spot Hidden Chess Tactics
And Win MORE Games
Are you new to chess and want the fast track to winning more games?
If you answered “yes,” then you will LOVE this Chessable course by FIDE Master Peter Giannatos.
Here’s the deal:
FM Giannatos is the head of the Charlotte Chess Center. He has over a decade of coaching experience under his belt.
After helping thousands of beginners advance their overall playing skills, he came to the conclusion that board vision — the ability to recognize opportunities on the chessboard — is the MOST important skill a newbie can pick up.
A sharper board vision enables you to grab that free piece…set-up simple tactics…and pull off checkmating combinations the other side misses. After which, it’s just a matter of time before you bring home the full point.
In his first ever Chessable course — Everyone’s First Chess Workbook — FM Giannatos draws from his rich coaching experience to give you…
A Step-By-Step Guide To
Fine-Tuning Your Board Vision
This course isn’t one of those run-of-the-mill tactics collections, with thousands of examples and zero commentary.
Sure, such collections useful for building up your familiarity with the basics. But when it comes to actually changing the way you see the chessboard for the better, they are sorely lacking.
On the contrary, Everyone’s First Chess Workbook breaks down board vision into smaller sub-skills you can isolate and train, then drives the lessons home with instructive exercises.
With the right balance of theory and practice, you’ll instinctively and almost effortlessly recognize winning shots as soon as they appear.
Here’s what you learn inside Everyone’s First Chess Workbook:
📚 How to take advantage of free pieces
📚 The 3 basic defensive techniques to keep your pieces safe from capture
📚 Win a piece with a simple counting technique
📚 A trick for coming out on top of exchanges
📚 How to identify and neutralize the opponent’s threats
PLUS, FM Giannatos shows you the tactics and checkmating patterns every player must know…while your Chessable team converted the instructive positions to over 680 trainable exercises.

Some courses handled the opening principles nicely

he gives you basic principles that just works 90% of the situations – it sounded silly to me at first, but then it became a daily prayer
Nolan (verified owner) –
keep repeating basic principles annoying number of times (sometimes say it with a beard then later repeat it without the beard 😁)

For taking all the fun out of my chess games. I never thought anybody would be cruel enough to make winning so easy that chess has become boring.

I think many of these reviewers forget what it was like to be a beginner, or a casual player.

At this level this course covers a sweet spot.
